The WCS Competition Team is dedicated to excellence in social dancing. We strive to develop professional level technique and musicality amongst our members and to promote dance, particularly WCS, as a social event. To this end, we have set three goals for ourselves. The first goal is competitive achievement, where we want to be known as a team that nobody wants to compete against, but everyone wants to see us compete. The second goal is to serve as ambassadors for the Triangle area in the dance community. We strive for a reputation as fun, friendly, accomplished dancers that will draw visiting dancers from other communities to come join us on our regular dance floors. The third most important goal is serve as ambassadors for WCS within our own dance community. It is the goal of every dancer on this team to encourage new dancers to the community and support the existing community by dancing with all members regardless of ability or association.
